Richard K. (Dickie) Olson

Richard K. (Dickie) Olson, age 81, of Iola, died Monday, April 1st, 2013 at Iola Living Assistance. He was born in Iola, Wisconsin on September 24, 1931, the son of the late Orrie and Palma Luella (Lind) Olson. Dickie used to make scale model cars and collect car pictures. He also collected pencils and key chains. He used to run errands for the telephone operators when they had the telephone office in Iola. He also liked to ride in the cattle truck with neighboring farmers. Dick also like to play solitare, bingo, cards and Po-ke-no. He enjoyed outings, going to restaurants and watching the Green Bay Packers. His favorite Television show was The Lucy Show along with game shows. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola. He is survived by Sister in law: Ida Olson of Iola. Friends: Dennis (Shirley) Erickson of Scandinavia. Richard is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a Brother: Marlyn Olson Funeral Service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 5th, with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10-11 AM. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
