Irene M. Garbe

Mrs. Irene Mary Garbe, 87, of Iola, died Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca, Wisconsin. Irene was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Weller) Fritz. Irene married Wilmer Garbe on May 11, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2009. Irene enjoyed bowling, playing cards, teaching CCD classes at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, watching the Brewers, Packers and spending time with family and friends. Irene and Bill owned and operated the Sportsman's Bar in Iola from 1970 to 1983. She is survived by Daughter: Judy Gregerson of Iola; Sons: Richard (Linda) Garbe of Amherst. Gary (Claudia) Garbe of Iola. Scott (Linda) Garbe of Iola. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers: Raymond (Beverly) Fritz of Texas, Joseph (Jane) Fritz of Wausaukee, Four Sisters: Madonna (John) Bruno of Oconomowoc, Millie Wehr of Milwaukee, Carol (Raymond) Rodriguez of Racine, Jeanette (William) Sullivan of Texas. She was preceded in death by a Son in law: Dennis Gregerson Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 3rd, with Father Amalraj Roche officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9:30-11 AM. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery Waupaca, Wisconsin.
