John "Jack" C. Munson

John "Jack" C. Munson, age 80, of Iola, died Friday, January 18th, 2013. John was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 25, 1932, the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Mrozack) Munson. John married Shirley House on Aug 25, 1956 in St. Paul. He graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul. Jack served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid stamp collector, reader; enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. Jack and Shirley moved to Iola in 1993, where he was employed by Krause Publications until his retirement in 2000. He is survived by his Wife: Shirley Munson of Iola; Children: Cheryl (Richard) Howard of Hollandale, MN. Julie (Richard) Guckeen of Austin, MN Linda (Jeff) Mullenbach of Glencoe, MN. Grandchildren: Evie, Angie, Laura, Daniel, Jordan, Ronni Jean and seven great grandchildren. Brother: Harry Munson Jr, Sisters: Dorothy Thompson and Mary Jane Munson all of St. Paul. A Memorial Service will be held at the Voie Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Street in Iola at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:30 AM. with Marcia Sabin officiating.
