Mildred A. Hagen

Mildred A. Hagen, 97, of Rosholt, died Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 at her residence. Mildred was born in Town of New Hope, WI. on January 13, 1915, the daughter of the late Perry and Hazel (Danielson) Swenson. She married Carl A. Hagen on December 28, 1935 at North New Hope Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1973. Mildred enjoyed rosemaling, Tole painting, quilting. knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed family history, all of the family gatherings and reunions. Mildred was proud of her Norweigan ancestry, her making of lutefisk, lefse and all of the Norweigan pastries. She was very active in the Rosholt Garden Club, having won at the Portage County Fair several times for her floral arrangements. She was a member of the Red Hatters. Mildred was very active in her church. She loved her cats, enjoying the companionship they provided. She is survived by a sister, Donna Dunbar, Bancroft, WI. Mildred is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by; two brothers, Phillip and Norris Swenson,and two sisters, Irene Rosenquist and Eleanor Brooks. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 15, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt Wisconsin, with Reverend Michael Peuse officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the Alban Lutheran Cemetery. The Voie Funeral Home of Iola assisted the family in arrangements.
