Timothy A. Amundson, age 60, of Schofield, died Friday, September 7th, 2012 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He was born December 6, 1951 in Lake Forest, Illinois, the son of Alton and Donna (Stoltenberg) Amundson. Tim married Mary Fischer on August 16, 1975 in Rockford, Illinois. He worked in purchasing for the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Rockford and most recently as director of purchasing for North Central Health Care in Wausau. For several years, Tim was a part time board operator at WSAU radio. He loved playing softball, fishing, hunting, golfing, curling, reading, tracing family genealogy, and having breakfast with the guys. He was a history buff and life long Packer fan. Nothing brought Tim greater happiness than spending time with family and friends. He was the most loving husband and father that anyone could wish for. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children: Bryan ( Lori) Amundson, Middleton, WI and a daughter, Christa (Jason) Scheunemann, Slinger, WI. Tim is also survived by, a granddaughter, Sierra; his parents, Alton and Donna Amundson, Iola, WI a brother, Tom (Jean) Amundson, Lindenhurst, IL.; a sister, Susan (James) Hardwick, Kent, OH: three brothers-in law, David (Sue) Fischer, Albuquerque, NM; Mark (Sue) Fischer, Rockford, IL: and Mike (Diane) Fischer, Winnebago, IL. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at North New Hope Lutheran Church 845 County T in the Town of New Hope, Portage County, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 with Reverend Michael Peuse officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Wisconsin Kidney Association, Juvenile Diabetes Association, or The Wausau Curling Club. The family would like to thank Drs. David Murdock, Pablo Abrego, Matt Clark, John Carroll, Vijay Vidyasagar and UW Madison Hospital Cardiac IUC for the loving care and concern they showed to Tim over the years.
