Vivian A. Jacobson

Vivian Adeline Jacobson, age 97, of Iola, died Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 at the Iola Living Assistance. She was born in the Town of Scandinavia on March 6, 1915, the daughter of the late Martin and Emma (Kjendalen) Larson. Vivian married Rudolph "Rudy" Jacobson on June 27, 1936 at the Hitterdahl Lutheran Church Parsonage. He preceded her in death on Feb 19, 2000. Vivian was an active member of Northland Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ladies Aid; making posters, advertising the annual Lutefisk supper. She enjoyed fishing, working with puzzles, reading, quilting and working in her garden. She is survived by her Sons: Marlyn (Diane) Jacobson of Scandinavia. Gary (Susan) Jacobson of Iola; Daughter: Janet (Eugene "Peanuts") Gunderson of Iola. 9-Grandchildren survive along with 16-Great Grandchildren, 9-Great Great Grandchildren and 2-Step-Great Grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at Northland Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 2nd, with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be held Monday 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM. at Northland Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to Northland Lutheran Church or Iola Living Assistance.
