Gerald "Jerry" Johnson

Gerald "Jerry" F. Johnson, age 60, of Iola, died Tuesday, June 5th, 2012. Jerry was born in Iola, Wisconsin on October 29, 1951, the son of Willard Johnson and the late Bonnie (Schmidt) Hoffman. Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Army from 1970-1972. He was a member of the Sheveland-Taylor Post #14 of Iola for 29 years. Jerry was a plumber for Schmidt Oil and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his Father: Willard Johnson of Winchester, Virginia. Aunts: Sharon (Roger) Peterson of Iola. Marjorie Wright of Janesville; his caregivers: Esther and Lee Allen Wilhelm both of Iola along with other relatives and many friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his Mother: Bonnie Hoffman and Brother: Dennis Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 7th, with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 noon till the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be appreciated by the family.
