Steven E. Schmidt

Steven E. Schmidt, age 54, of Iola, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Steven was born in Waukegan, Illinois on July 3, 1957, the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Schinka) Schmidt. He married Delores Ducak on March 19, 1977 in Round Lake, Illinois. Steve enjoyed golfing, fishing, motorcycling, target shooting, woodworking, scuba diving, vacationing, spending time with his family and especially loved the Christmas season. He is survived by his wife: Delores Schmidt Sons: Stephen Schmidt of Wauwatosa. Michael Schmidt of Iola; Sisters & Brothers: Cathy Lane of Round Lake, Illinois. John Schmidt of Antioch, Illinois. Michael (Rita) Schmidt of Lake Villa, Illinois. Cindy (Kenny) Finney of Round Lake, Illinois. Karen Van Dyke of Round Lake, Illinois. Jeffrey (Sherry) Schmidt of Round Lake, Illinois; Grandson: Tyler Schmidt He is survived by Aunts, uncles nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 17th, with Reverend Mark E. Sabin officiating.
