Oliver M. Wrolstad Oliver M. Wrolstad, 91, of Iola, died Sunday, January 29th, 2012 at Iola Living Assistance. Oliver was born in Town of New Hope, WI. on February 16, 1920, the son of the late Oscar and Ida (Dobbe) Wrolstad. He married Angeline Tominsek on July 29, 1944 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2007. Oliver served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1945-1946. He had worked as a self-employed carpenter, having his own construction company for many years. Along with his wife, they owned and operated the Northland Store. Later, he worked as a maintenance engineer at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King. Oliver was a supervisor on the Town of Harrison town board and a fire warden for a number of years. He was active at the Northland Lutheran Church, serving on the church council, the cemetery board, and working at the lutefisk suppers. He is survived by: Daughter: Jeanne (Robert) Opperman Iola; Sons: Gordon (Pam) Wrolstad, Maple Grove, MN.. James ( Kristie Kosobucki) Wrolstad Amherst Jct.. Oliver was further survived by 6 Grandchildren: Cole (Mary Beth) Smith, Erin (Nate) Bonikowske, Joseph (Asherrie) Opperman, Jenna Opperman, Michael and Kevin Wrolstad; and 7 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Smith, a sister, Margaret Peterson and 3 brothers, Phillip, Vernon and Julian Wrolstad. Funeral Service will be held at Northland Lutheran Church, Iola, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 PM. at Voie Funeral Home in Iola and Wednesday 10:00 AM. until the time of service the church.
