Thomas E. Hurley

Thomas Edward Hurley, age 91, of Iola, Wisconsin, formerly of Ripon and New York, died Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at the Iola Living Assistance in Iola. Thomas was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on February 26, 1920, the son of the late Thomas A. and Susan V. (Beattie) Hurley. He married married Florence Kain on April 9, 1942 in Staten Island, New York . She preceded him in death on March 19, 1985. Thomas was a mail carrier on Staten Island for over 30 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by: Daughters: Catherine "Kitch" (Special Friend: Jack) Hurley of Iola. Diane Falk of Staten Island, NY. Judith (Jeff) Lovas of Brick, NJ; Brothers in law: George Kain of Staten Island, NY. Stanley Modzelewski of Staten Island, NY; Sister in law: Patricia Schiumo of Staten Island, NY. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Thomas is also survived by 8 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Son: William Hurley, Granddaughter: Suzanne Binkowski, one Sister and four half Brothers. Memorial Service will be held at Iola Living Oaks in Iola, Wisconsin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 . A Memorial Funeral Mass held at a later date in Staten Island, New York, at Saint Peters RC Church and burial with full military honors held at Saint Peters Catholic Cemetery.
