Leonard "Pete" Anderson

Leonard Anderson, 89, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 after ending his battle with cancer at Saint Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Northland Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel Somers officiating. He will be laid to rest at Northland Cemetery. Leonard, known by many as Pete, was born December 27, 1921. His gentle, fun-loving nature set an example for those around him. He is preceded in death by his sons Peter and Dale, his 10 older siblings Selma, Myrtle, Florence, Irving, Oliver, Winnie, Eddie, Aleda, Laura and Chester. Leonard's love and memories will continue on with his wife of 60 years, Viola, son Steve and daughters Laurie and Mary. Memorials in his name may be directed to Northland Lutheran Church in Iola or through the family in Big Falls.
