Jeanette E. Olson

Jeanette E. Olson, 77, of Scandinavia, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Michaels Hospital, Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Jeanette was born in Iola, Wisconsin on January 6, 1934, the daughter of the late Alfred and Esther (Peterson) Amundson. She married Carlyle Olson on June 19, 1954 at North New Hope Lutheran Church in the Town of New Hope. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2007. She had worked as an OR Tech at Condell Memorial Hospital Libertyville, IL. and then later as a nurse's aide at Winchester House also in Libertyville. Jeanette was a member of the auxillary of VFW Post 8741-Libertyville. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, and the casino. She is survived by: 2-Sons Mark (Nancy) Olson Libertyville, IL. Dennis (Patricia) Olson Libertyville, IL. 1-Daughter Dawn (Christopher) Kosciuszko Cary, NC., 1-Brother Alton (Donna) Amundson, Iola. Jeanette is survived by seven grandchildren, Shaun, Brandon, Steven, Kristy, Nicholas, Victoria, and Kyle. Also survived by dearest loved ones, the Draeger family. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held at Scandinavia Lutheran Church in Scandinavia, Wisconsin, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8th, with Reverend Mark E. Sabin officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7 PM. at Voie Funeral Home in Iola, WI. and then again on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in the North New Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Town of New Hope, Wisconsin. A memorial fund has been established in Jeanette's name.
