Ruth E. Waller Ruth E. Waller , age 96, of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away Friday, April 22nd, 2011 at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. Ruth was born in Township of Amherst, Wisconsin on July 9, 1914, the daughter of the late Henry and Alma (Reierson) Hoffman. Ruth married Orin E. Waller on June 17, 1934 in Nelsonville. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1974. Ruth lived at Walnut Grove Suites for 3 years prior to entering Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was a Housewife, Mother and Homemaker. Ruth & Orin lived in Iola for several years and were members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. After his death, she moved to Fond du Lac to be closer to her family. Family was important, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included going to rummage sales, basket making and artex painting. She is survived by: Daughter: Mary (Rodney) Nelson Welch, MN; Son: Gary (Kathy) Waller Shakopee, MN; Daughter-in-law: Lavonne Waller Fond du Lac Sister: Vernice Gjertson Kileen, TX. Ruth is also survived by 8 Grandchildren: Greg (Renee)Waller Jeff ( Beth)Waller, Jane Waller, Jason (Tess)Waller, Gretchen(Jim) Jerskey, Derek (Kelly) Nelson, Andrew Waller, and Debra (Ethan) Bolstad. 15 Great Grandchildren: Katie, Brittany, Jacob, peter, Lilliann. Grace, Isabelle, Timmy, Adeline, Justin, Katie, Cormac, Boden, Adelia and Hagen. She is also survived by nieces,nephews, cousins and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Orin, a Son: Alan Waller, Grandson: Timothy Waller; 3 Brothers: Hanford, William, & LaVerne Hoffman and 2 Sisters: Margaret Merde & Louella Erickson. Funeral Services will be held at Voie Funeral Home, Iola, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 27th, 2011 with Reverend Derek Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday 10 AM - 11 AM. at the funeral Home. Interment will be in the Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery Township of Scandinavia, Wisconsin.
