Mary K. Johnson

Mary Kathryn Johnson, age 89, of Iola, died Monday, April 11th, 2011 at the Iola Living Assistance. Mary was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Louis and Magdalina (Rusza) Marton. Mary married Melford T. Johnson on Sept 15, 1956 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Dec 14, 1993. Mary was a member of the Iola United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star #107 Waupaca, the Nordic Singers and was treasurer of the Iola Senior Citizens. Mary & Mel operated the Iola Card Shop on Main Street for several years. She is survived by Brother: Louis (Irene) Marton of Waterford; Sister: Elizabeth Marton of Lehigh Acres, FL. Mary is also survived by nieces nephew other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by Sisters: Katherine Marki, Anne Anania & Helen Marton. A Graveside Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Iola, at 2:30 PM on Saturday, April 16th, with Reverend Dale Eggert officiating.
