Larry R. Riddell, 76, of Rosholt, died Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Larry was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 16, 1934, the son of the late Carlton and Theone (Terpening) Riddell. He married Marilyn Halverson on October 6, 1956 at Alban Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Navy as a member of the Seabees in the Korean Conflict from 1955-1959. He was a member of Nelson-Kaminski American Legion Post # 509 in Rosholt. Larry had worked for Automated Sprinkler Co. of America as a sprinkler fitter, in maintenace for Marathon Electric, and later as a groundskeeper for Sentry World. He built and owned model airplanes, having his own "airport" named Riddell Field. He was a member of Academy of Model Aeronautics and had been a Boy Scout Troop Leader for Troop 200. Larry was very fond of his dachshund, Rosie Rae. He is survived by his wife , and children: . Wife: Marilyn Riddell Rosholt Son: Barton Riddell Rosholt Daughters: Cheryl (Steve Edseth) Mueller Rosholt Debra (Kelly) Wolff Little Suamico Larry is also survived by 5 Grandchildren: Erik Riddell, Laine Mueller, Katelyn Mueller, Daniel and Kenneth Wolff; Sister: Susan Moan, Summerville, SC; Niece: Karla (Dave) Blease, Summerville, SC; Nephew: Scott (Jan) Myers, Roscoe, IL. and his dog: Rosie Rae. Memorial Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 18th, 2011 with Reverend John Poffinbarger officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held Friday 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
