Emma M. Griffey

Emma M. Griffey, 102, of Iola, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Iola Living Assistance. Emma was born in West Bend, Wisconsin on December 20, 1908, the daughter of the late Arthur and Louisa (Strey) Kraetsch. Emma married Rosco Griffey on Feb 16, 1929 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in Sept, 1960. She was a meat wrapper at Safer Foods and then for Kohl's grocery stores for 18 years. Emma enjoyed knitting, crochetting, and reading. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt She is survived by: Daughters: Janet (Bernie) Lamon Union Grove. Wanetta (Ken) Barikmo Iola Sons: Richard Griffey Eagle River Kenneth (Carol Neuman) Griffey Lakeview, Arkansas She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren an 8 Great Great Grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, 3 brothers, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held at Voie Funeral Home, in Iola, Wisconsin at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 26th, 2011 with Reverend Ralph Hanusa officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday 12:00-1:30 PM. at the Voie Funeral Home. Interment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park Brookfield, Wisconsin.
