David Allen Wesley, age 78, of Iola, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Friday, February 18th, 2011 at Iola Living Assistance. David was born in Town of Helvetia, Waupaca County, Wisconsin on October 10, 1932, the son of the late Palmer "Julian" and Luella (Hanson) Wesley. David served in the United States Army. He served an apprenticeship for a diesinker at the Laddish Company in Cudahy. David moved to the Waupaca area in the late 1950's and was a Watkins dealer for several years. He later moved to Horicon and retired from Mayville Die & Tool. David moved to the Ogdensburg in 2009. He enjoyed watching football, NASCAR; liked to fish, garden and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He is survived by a Brother: Donald Wesley of King; Sister: Joyce Thompson of Waupaca; Nephew: Randall E. (Barbara) Thompson of Ogdensburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a Brother: Julian Wesley. A Memorial Service will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 25th, 2011. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke of the Wisconsin Veterans Home of King will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. at the funeral home.
