Evangeline M. Fiane

Mrs. Evangeline Marie Fiane was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 at the age of 95. She was born on the home farm in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca County on July 12, 1915, the daughter of the late Martin and Agnes (Lund) Toebass. She was baptized and confirmed at the Hitterdahl Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member. She married James A. Fiane on March 13, 1940 in Iola. He passed away suddenly on December 31, 1992 at home and they were married for 52 years. They had worked the home farm and Evangeline was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking Norwegian pastries for Christmas along with canning, making apple pies and working in her flower garden. She was very fond of her collie dog Ladie. She is survived by Son: James (Jean) Fiane of Kaukauna; Daughter in law: Mary Fiane of Iola. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Kim (Fiance' John Zangerle) Fiane, Randall (Kim) Anderson, Jennifer (Fiance' Chad Herzfeldt) Anderson, Sarah (Mark) Lovey & Heather Hahn. Great Grandchildren: Keri, Danielle, Coty, Dylan, Alexandra, Justin, Racheal Kosier. She is also survived by several special nieces: Carrie, Alecia and Paula. She was preceded in death by a Son: David Fiane Feb 18, 2006 at age of 59 and special friend: Martin Langdok. Funeral Service will be held at Hitterdahl Lutheran Church, Iola, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 30th, with Reverend Dale Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday 10 AM-11 AM. at Hitterdahl Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Hitterdahl Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Hitterdahl Lutheran Church will be appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Iola Living Assistance along with Kari & Ralph Mack and Annie Swenson.
